Engineering Directorate (ED)
The Engineering Directorate plans, develops, manages, and conducts AMCOM programs in the areas of total lifecycle system engineering, product assurance, test, and evaluation. In order to meet this mission, the Engineering Directorate is home to experts in a wide array of technical specialties with access to numerous prototyping laboratories and facilities.

- Electronics Prototype - Analyze, design simulate and Fabricate electronic hardware for DoD.
- Mechanical Prototype - Thirty-two thousand square foot facility --Complete Conceptual Design, Computer Aided Design, Computer manufacturing, 3D Modeling
- Stereolithography - Rapid prototyping that prints a three dimensional solid plastic model from a photo curable liquid resin.
- Viz-Lab - High quality visualization, modeling and animation capabilities to assist AMCOM and the project offices in the modernization of the Army's arsenal of weaponry.
- ICAPP - Interactive Configuration Management and Procurement Program
- ATE/TPS - Lab Prototype Hardware Fabrication, software Development Upgrade, Shipping, receiving, storage; Software Reproduction; Tech Data Generation, Hardware Repair
- INFAC - Ten thousand square feet of manufacturing facilities, Machining center, dimensional Measurement Lab, Metallurgical Lab, Heat Treating Center.
- PMTEC - facility houses interconnect stress tester and polishing and microscope equipment.
