System Simulation and Development Directorate (SSDD)

SSDD assists in the evaluation and analysis of new weapon systems, provides technical and simulation support to all elements of the parent organization, project managers, and other government agencies. SSDD also conducts weapon systems research, exploratory and advanced development and provides engineering and scientific expertise in the following areas: aeroballistics, aerodynamics, system performance, statistical data and error analysis, system simulation, simulation theory and technology, distributed real-time simulation, virtual environment simulation, analog/hybrid computer & interface system, math model verification and validation techniques, real-time time-critical simulation technology.
