| The IOD is to exercise centralized control in advising each Program Executive Officer (PEO) and command element in the area of Industrial Base (IB) directives and policies, as established by the U.S. Army Materiel Command, the Department of the Army, and the Department of Defense. The IB group is to create and maintain a thorough and effective industrial base that will support peacetime, wartime, and other contingency military requirements. |
