Electronics Simulation, Analysis and Modeling

Providing technical, cost and schedule risk reduction to project managers by utilizing circuit analysis software to perform simulation, analysis and modeling of electronic circuits.

Identify safety issues with electronics designs, including ordnance firing devices
Evaluate performance over worst-case conditions of temperature, tolerance and ageing
Identify electrically overstressed components and recommend design solutions
Determine cause of electronic failures; develop and validate design solutions
Develop and validate new electronics designs and electronic models

The Electronics Simulation, Analysis and Modeling (ESAM) team utilizes circuit analysis software to perform simulation, analysis and modeling of electronics circuits.Through simulation, the ESAM team is able to provide technical, cost and schedule risk reduction to our customers by modeling and analyzing electronics circuits for safety, reliability and performance. They can also identify safety issues with electronics designs, including those that involve ordnance firing devices and perform sneak circuit analysis to identify potential sneak electrical paths. The ESAM team is able to improve system reliability by identifying electrically overstressed components and recommend design solutions for marginal designs. When failures occur, they are able to determine root cause and develop and validate design solutions. To assess performance, the ESAM team evaluates circuit operation over nominal and worst-case conditions of temperature, tolerance and ageing to identify design deficiencies and develop design solutions. They also have the capability of modeling missile flight control electronics, including batteries, to evaluate and validate system performance. In addition, the ESAM team has extensive experience in developing models for electronics components and is able to provide this service to other agencies and contractors.
