SED History
- Army Task Force Organized in 1978 to Address the Management, Control,
and Software Support of Army Battlefield Automated Systems. The Principals
Making Up This Task Force Were:
- TRADOC
- DARCOM
- DARCOM Major Subordinate Commands and Computer Systems Command
- Task Force Support Approved by Headquarters Department of the Army in 1981. "Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) Concept Plan for Automated Systems."
- "Life Cycle Software Support (LCSS) Implementation Plan" Approved by Headquarters Department of the Army in December 1983. This Implementation Plan Called for the Establishment of 13 Life Cycle Software Engineering Centers.
