  • Lead Standardization Activity management responsibilities for Engineering Data System (EGDS); Human Factors(HFAC); Rocket Maintenance Repair and Checkout Specialized Equipment (FSC 4927); Clean Work Stations Controlled Environment and Related Equipment(FSC 3694); Electrical and Electronic Properties Measuring and Testing Instruments(FSC 6625); Helicopter Rotor Blades, Drive Mechanisms and Components(FSC 1615); and Aircraft, Rotary Wing(FSC 1520).
  • Prepare and maintain Military Specifications, Standards and Handbooks, Commercial Item Descriptions, and Federal Specifications and Standards; and responsible for adopting Non-Government Standards for government use.
  • Serves as AMCOM expert on preparation and maintenance of standardization documents and the responsible AMCOM link for integration of the documents into the government system.
  • Perform review activity responsibilities for documents of interest to AMCOM that are prepared by other standardization activities and respond for the Army on those where we ate designated as custodian.
  • Provide Acquisition reform & standardization support to assigned special projects/IPTS.

MIL-STD-967, Defense Handbooks Format and Content - http://assist.daps.dla.mil This standard established the format and content requirements for the preparation of handbooks prepared either by DoD activities or by contractors for the DoD.
